Winter Wonderland © Donna Rae Lands
It’s a sense of wonder to know where your good spirit has flown.
You’re amongst the heavens of the great known and unknown.
Burial across a winter wonderland as I tried to find your place.
I felt sadly lost and empty in this lonely space.
Wandering amongst the angels felt so serene.
All the while, peace was wrapping around this broken dream.
Burial across a winter wonderland as I tried to find your place.
No icon of crosses to bare my child can be wrong.
It’s only strength to gather for the warrior's song.
It’s a sense of wonder to know where your good spirit has flown.
You’re amongst the heavens of the great known and unknown.
Life is for the living so we must go on.
We carry this wreath, starting every morning dawn.
Wandering amongst the angels felt so serene.
I came again and walked straight to your wreath.
No forgotten memories like those through a sheath.
I bent down to see your name.
I cried for all the forgotten abused women's blame.
It’s a sense of wonder to know where your good spirit has flown.
You’re amongst the heavens of the great known and unknown.
Burial across a winter wonderland as I tried to find your place.
Lust for life is always the truth, for there is no desire for death.
Upside-down in the bedroom was the clue of your lasting breath.
Missing looks led to the key.
It was always you and never me.
I'm so sorry that he took your destiny.
Wandering amongst the angels felt so serene.
It’s a sense of wonder to know where your good spirit has flown.
You’re amongst the heavens of the great known and unknown.
