The wise owl © Donna R. Lands
The wise ole owl of western flight...
Rests by day-flies by night...
Seeking his prey-wisdom naught...
Made mistakes-souls always sought...
Winter calls after his long summer trot...
The wise ole owl of glowing west...
Visions of all the dying rest...
He praised their plans-none ever caught...
Seeking his prey-wisdom naught...
He spreads his wings-five feet long...
Time tested as he sings his midnight song...
The wise ole owl of western flight...
Truly a sight...twas the bending light...
Chased his soul... of stories untold...trying to be caught...
Seeking his prey-wisdom naught...
No heroes of deepest fright...
The wise ole owl of western flight...
Sold the soul of his temple rot...
Seeking his prey-wisdom not...
